If you are looking for a room with a bath, with minimum staff, this place will work for you. However, the top floor rooms are very small with low ceilings. I would suggest visiting the rooms prior to reserving if possible.

The most nice in this Hotel was the floral character of rooms and charmed and comfortable old furnitrue
I don't like using stairs with havy luggage. There was no lift in this Hotel.

I liked the old-world charm of the rooms and the cleanliness. I also found the hotel staff very friendly, considerate and helpful.
I found the breakfast buffet very minimalistic and poor in choice. The furniture in my room, though pretty and elegant, were not very functional. The chairs looked like musuem pieces and would have broken if I actually sat on them! I feel things like chairs, stools, tables etc., should combine practicality with elegance, so that it not just looks great, but can also be used. I think the place is a little overpriced for what it offers. Being a frequent traveller and having stayed in many bed-and-breakfast motels, I can indeed say that the Auberge Mistral is overpriced for the facilities it offers.
